Care at every stage of life

A family dentist in Hallett Cove

We look after the whole family, at every age. First check-ups, teenagers, and the kind of care people need later on. The same practice has done it here for more than 60 years.

The problem

Your teeth change. It can be hard to keep up.

What you need at six is not what you need at forty, and it is not what you need at seventy.

Most people end up starting again with a new dentist every few years. Your history goes missing. Nobody remembers what was done, or why.

Good dental care is not one appointment. It is a long relationship with someone who knows your mouth.

Later life

Keeping your own teeth matters more as you get older.

Teeth wear down. Old fillings give out. Gums recede. None of that is unusual and none of it is your fault.

We look after worn teeth, crowns and bridges, dentures and implants. We will tell you what needs doing now, what can wait, and what we would keep an eye on.

If someone drives you here, or if getting to an appointment takes planning, tell us when you book. We will work around it.

Where a crown can be made and fitted in one visit, that is one trip instead of two. The crown is designed on screen and milled here in the practice, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Then we fit it, and you go home with the real crown rather than a temporary one.

Not every tooth can be done in one visit. Dr Suaan will tell you before anything starts.

Children and families

We see children here too.

First visits, check-ups and cleans, and mouthguards for sport.

You can book more than one person at a time. Tell us who you are booking for and we will try to put you together.

On Thursdays we are open until 7pm, so a check-up does not have to cost you a day off.

Often it is all three

Most people book for more than themselves.

You may be booking for yourself, or for your kids, or for a parent who needs a lift to get here. Often it is all three.

If it has been a long time since your last visit, that is okay. We will not make you feel bad about it.

The earlier we see it, the smaller the job.

A problem found early is usually simpler, quicker and cheaper to deal with than the same problem found late. That is the whole reason for a regular check-up.

Common questions

Questions people ask us

Do you see children?

Yes. First visits, check-ups and cleans, and mouthguards for sport. You can book more than one person at a time. Tell us who you are booking for and we will try to put you together.

What do you do for older patients?

Teeth wear down. Old fillings give out. Gums recede. None of that is unusual and none of it is your fault. We look after worn teeth, crowns and bridges, dentures and implants. We will tell you what needs doing now, what can wait, and what we would keep an eye on.

Someone has to drive me here. Does that matter?

If someone drives you here, or if getting to an appointment takes planning, tell us when you book. We will work around it. Where a crown can be made and fitted in one visit, that is one trip instead of two. Not every tooth can be done in one visit. Dr Suaan will tell you before anything starts.

Can you really make a crown in one visit?

We take a scan instead of a putty mould. The crown is designed on screen and milled here in the practice, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Then we fit it, and you go home with the real crown rather than a temporary one. Not every tooth can be done in one visit. Dr Suaan will tell you before anything starts.

Are you open after work?

On Thursdays we are open until 7pm, so a check-up does not have to cost you a day off. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

It has been a long time since my last visit. Is that a problem?

No. If it has been a long time since your last visit, that is okay. We will not make you feel bad about it.
